*Parents and Students: For the 2019-2020 school year, your child is taking a course which will earn him/her a high school credit, if passed. High school courses taken in middle school will be displayed on the transcript, but the grade is not calculated in the GPA. & UNDERSTAND
- Each student receives a weekly participation grade of 10 points, 2 points per day.
- If the student needs to be redirected 1-2 times within a period, student will lose 1 point.
- If a student needs to be redirected several times within a period, student will lose 2 points.
- Behavior intervention forms will be used to keep students on track and doing their best to meet classroom expectations.
- Absences will result in a deduction of 2 points per day.
- Students will find their missing work in PowerSchool as a note on their Participation Grade.
- Once completed, assignments are shown/turned in to the teacher, the missing points will be restored.
- Of course students are responsible for all missed quizzes and tests as well.
Classroom Rules/Expectations
- Follow all directions the first time they are given.
- Arrive to class on time, prepared to work and PARTICIPATE. -- Come with pencil, binder, homework and agenda.
- Raise your hand and get permission before talking or leaving your seat.
- Respect your teacher and fellow classmates in your words, attitude, and actions -- Use appropriate language and tone, tell the truth, and listen when someone is talking.
- Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
- Follow all school rules.
